Connecting Bill Manager with Xero creates a seamless bridge between your payment management and accounting systems. Important note:
- If you manage multiple companies within the same accounting software, you can only connect to a single company.
- Switching to a different company or changing accounting software is not supported.
If you choose to disconnect Bill Manager from your accounting software, you can only reconnect to the same software and company.
How to sync with Xero
1-There are three ways you can connect with Xero
- Option 1- In your Bill Manager dashboard, select the Sync icon in the top right corner of the screen. This will take you to the settings menu.
- Option 2- From your Bill Manager dashboard, select Settings to access the settings page.
- Option 3- When you are on the Bills tab, select Import bills and then Connect accounting software. This will bypass the settings page. Please continue from Step 5 of this guide.
2- In the settings menu, select Sync and import.
3- In the Sync and import section, scroll down to Xero.
4- Under Xero, select Connect.
5- You will now be redirected to Xero. Select Allow access to proceed with the sync.
If you have more than one Xero company, this screen will look a bit different.
6- Once you have allowed access, select the Connect button in the bottom right corner of the screen.
If you have more than one Xero company, you can sync with just one Xero company. Make sure to select the desired company to be connected.
7- Wait for the connection to be completed. It might take some time.
That's it! You successfully synced Xero with your Bill Manager account.
Checking your sync
At the top right corner of the dashboard, you'll see the sync icon indicating that you are connected to Xero successfully.
- When you hover over it, you will see when the last sync happened.
- Selecting this icon will manually sync the two accounts.
Additionally, you can also check the last time a sync was made under the Settings.
- Selecting Sync now will manually trigger the sync process of the two accounts. Even when not manually triggered, the accounts automatically sync every few minutes (usually less than 5 minutes).
That's it! Your Bill Manager account is now successfully connected to Xero, allowing for seamless data synchronization between your payment management and accounting systems.
