Any payments submitted after the processing cutoff time will start processing the following business day.
Factors that may affect payment delivery
Several factors can impact when your payment arrives:
- Federal holidays: Federal holidays may cause USPS delivery delays when sending checks. When choosing your delivery date, federal holiday dates will be blocked on the Bill Manager calendar. We recommend scheduling payments earlier during holiday periods to ensure timely delivery.
- First-time vendor payments: When submitting a payment to a vendor for the first time, we may need extra time to review the payment for compliance and security. Schedule these payments in advance to avoid delays.
- Invoice attachments: We recommend attaching an invoice whenever possible to prevent compliance delays. Including invoice documentation helps streamline the review process.
- Large ACH payments: Bank account ACH payments exceeding $100,000 are delivered within 4 business days instead of the standard 3 business days.
- Weekend and holiday processing: Payments are only processed on business days (Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays). Delivery times don't include weekends or holidays.
Tips for faster payments
Schedule before cutoff times: Submit payments before the daily processing cutoffs to ensure same-day processing.
Plan for holidays: Schedule important payments well in advance of federal holidays and long weekends.
Include invoices: Attach invoice documentation to help prevent compliance review delays.
Set up vendors in advance: Add new vendor information ahead of when you need to pay them to avoid first-payment review delays.
